NEW TURBINE STEAMER FOR

(Per Press Association.) DunediD, lost night. Mr James Mill?, managing director of the Union Company, leaves for England bv the Maheoo, by way of Vancouver. He- will arrange for the building of Borne - - additions to the company’s iloet, one of the most important being a steamer tor the Lyttelton-Wellington ferry service. The building of this steamer has been delayed until the efficiency of the turbine should have been demonstrated beyond all doubt The company having bad experience with tbe Loongana and Maheno, and tbe result obtained being so satisfactory they feel no hesitation io adopting the turbine for the new steamer. COLLEGE BUILDING. Competitive designs are beffig invited for a residential oollege for the Presbyterian Ohuiob of New Zealand.
