(Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. Mr B. Holben, secretary of tho North Island Brass Baud Association, has received notification from the Exhibition authorities that they have agreed to the terms under which the annual contest is !to be held at Chtistchurch this year. The Commissioners have agreed to pay the Association £SO, and to conduct the contest under the rules of tho Association, subjeot to such alterations as are neoessary for the purpose. All Australasian Bunds are eligible to compete, but must first of all I afli'iato with the North Island Assooia- I tion. To faeil.tato this tho fee for this yoar only will be reduced from thirty shillings to one shilling.
