A few received draslio sentenoes, and tbo remainder moderate terms of imprisonment. All workmen’s candidates at the preliminary Douma elections et Odessa have been arrested for displaying liberal tendencies. The authorities directed voters to eleot reactionaries.

St. Petersburg, April 2. Tho Chief of Police at Warsaw and ten detectives are undergoing trial for mercilessly torturing political and war offenders.
