The tornado, after leaving the heights of North Sydney, passed over the city at a great evelation without doing damage. As it passed over the eastern suburbs it liberated immense quantities of leaves, evidently gathered at North Sydney. A deputation asked Mr Bent to introduce local option legislation on the lines of that of IN ew Zealand. The Premier promised that the Cabinet would consider the request. The Government forecast of the wheat yield is 23,417,000 bushels. The average is 11.31 bushels to the acre.
