LATE SHIPPING.

THE KOTARE.

The Btcamer Kotare arrived in the river at 1 this morning, after a coastal teur. On nearing the wharf the vessel had to cruise up and down seeking a berth. The Cape was rounded oh Turslay night, but the weather was so bad that a return to the sheltered side was necessary. The steamer lay in Hiok’s Bay until morning, in company with the schooner Kaeo and the scows Bi.uthern Isle and Karora. There were no barquentinee there, and it is probable the sojws were mistakenly taken to be birguehtines from the Victoria, If the River Hunter had been lying there she should have reached Gisborne in good time with the wind blowing.
