Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agecoy Company, Ltd., are in receipt of tho following cablegram from their London ollioe ; —Market olcs:-d strong for all sorts of wool. As compared with last sales closing rates are higher about 7i per cent lo 10 per cant, for Merino (medium and inferior) fi.ro crossbred, about 10 per cent, higher for lambs, about 15 per coat, j higher for orossbred lambs. Average current London value of Now Zealand greasy wool : Good Merino 14|d, medium Merino 13d, ioiorior Merino fine crossbred 15}d, medium orossbred 14£d, coarse crossbred (40’s) 12Jd, coarse orossbred (36’s) 12d.

The buSter market is very unsettled. Some holders are forcing sales, whilst buyers are bolding baok, expecting prioes to go lower. The average price of ohoico New Ze tland butter to-day is 100 s, Australian 94-, Danish 118 a per cwt. The cheese market is very fiim, especially colored makes, at 65s per owf. White is quoted at 625. The hemp market is quiet, the tendoncy being in favor of buyers. The average prioo of Wellington hemp is £32 per ton, on spot ; April to Juno shipment, £3l. The priot of fair current Manila, on spot to-day, is £4l. The oooksfoot seed market is fLm, but quiet. A good feeling prevails. The average prioe of bright clean 171 b seed is 57s per owt. The wool market is firm, with a hardening tendenoy.
