At the Police Court to day James Regan, owner and publisher of the weekly paper called Saturday Night, published in Auckland, pleaded guilty to a charge of crimiaal libel in publishing two articles in February nfleeting on the conduct and administration by Dr Btattie, of the Avondale M.ntal Hospia 1 , Auckland Defendant later published a complete apology, and withdrew all cha-gas, and Dr Beattie on oath said be was satisfi-d wilh the apology, but in the publ’c interact the prosecution was brought.
