Sydney, Maroh 25. An important development in the northern coal district resulting in a combine of twenty-foar oat of thirty oolleries ii anticipated. The selling price of coal will be raised within a fortnight. For some time best coal has been selling from 7s to Bs, while the miners have been paid a hewing rate based on the Ee’liog price at 9s. Miners are taking action in view of this development to secure on advance of 8d on their present rate.
