PTOMAINE POIBONING CASE. (Per Press Association. 1 ) Thames, last night. From inquiries it is ascertained that all the victims of the ptomaine poisoning oases on the Paeroa raoeoourse recovered. Tho Thames sufferers, though some were badly attacked, are all well. The residents of Paeroa, Waihi, and Hamilton are reported to be also recovered. It ia stated that the tongues were boiled in a oopper, and allowed to stand all night. It is believed that the action of the salt on the copper contaminated the tODgues, though a BtraDge circumstance is that persons, who refrained from eating the tongues, and only partook of tea, were similarly attacked. Litigation is likely lo ensue as the result of the occurrence. A NEW GOLDFIELD,
A Thames miaer, located in the King Country, reports that he haß prospected portion of the Urewera lands, and is satisfied of their auriferous nature. He is quits confident that systematic prospecting isnd development|of this terra incognita will eventually result in the opening of a new goldfield.
