Mr David Scannoll died at Remuera yesterday, aged 08. Ho served in tho Indian Mutiny, and arrivod in Now Zealand in 1801. Ho sorved in tho Maori war, and also tho chasing of To ICooti. IJo was appointod Inspector of Armed Constabulary, then Resident Magistrate, and finally a Judgo of tho Nativo Land Court, from which position ho retired two years ago.
