The above olub’s greon was well patronised duriDg tho week, and yosterday afternoon some good games wore played. Chief interest centred in the Handioap Singles, io whioh Martin defeated Humphreys, and Morrison disposed of Morse. There was a large attendance at the Gisborne bowling green yesterday afternoon, and a number of very interesting matches were played. Tno-fiaal game in the Distriot Shield competition saw the City teams win by the narrow margin ef one point, the victory being due to tha fine stand made by Massey’s rink, who have not lost a game throughout the series of matches played.
