The Union s.e. Company’s Talune arrived from Auoklaod shortly after three • o'clock yesterday afternoon, and left again for the South last evening. Passengers Inward : Misses Ford, Pettit! Outward : Misses Reynolds (2), Clark, Skeet, Franklin, and Skinner ; Mesdames Johnston, Lawlor, MoMilian, and Barry ; Messrs Gibson, Miller, Johnston, Baird, Clayton, Tombleson, Turner, Spragg, O’Hagan, Hibi, Niven, Butcher, Aston, Johnstone, and Sheridan Company (33). The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s s.s. Oorinthio completed loading on Saturday, and sailed for the South early yesterday morning. Local shipments comprised : 18,000 caroases. The steamer, will leave Wellington for London on 29th inst. Tho sohooner Gisborne sailed for Auckland oh Saturday evening, taking a cargo of manure and grass seed. The auxiliary sohooner Aotea left Auckland on Wednesday last for Coast ports and Gisborne. The soow Hawk sailed for the North on Saturday evening. The Union s.s. Company’s Manuka left for Auckland and Sydney at noon on Saturday, and arrived at Auckland at 9 , yesterday morning, after a smirt run of 21 hours.
■ ■ The three-masted scow Hororß, whioh arrived from Whangarei on Friday evening, brought a cargo of 130 timber logs for the Alpha Sawmills. Owing to the occurrence of Good Friday during the next trip of the Zealandia from Sydney, she will leave Auckland and Gisborne a day earlier than time-table, in order to get her out of Wellington on Thursday, April 12th. As Captain E. Phillips, of the s.s. Manuka, is indisposed, he was relieved of the command of his vessel at Wellington. Captain Phillips is returning to his home in Sydoey.by the Manuka. The ketch Sir Henry left for Auckland on Saturday night. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ steamer Rotare left for Auckland on Saturday evening with a large cargo.
