LICENSING ELECTION.

(Per Press Association.) Cbristoburcb, last night. Three moderates and two prohibitionists were returned as a Licensing Committee for Ellesmere.

Dunedin, last nigbt. .At Waikouaiti licensing election no(minees of the no-licensing party were returned. There was a of 150 votes between the lowest and the highest of the moderate candidates. Te Aroha, last night. In the Ohinemuri licensing election I one moderate and four Itemperance candidates were returned. A few returns are to come in yet.

Waihi, last night. In the Bay of Plenty electorate the old Licensing Committee was returned at the election.
