TOLAGO BAY RACES.
NOTES AND ANTICIPATIONS,

Great interest is being taken in the two days’ racing at Tolago Bay on Friday and Saturday, and it is generally expsoted that twice tho numberof visitors from Gisborne, who generally make this popular ooastal trip, will be induced to do so upon the present occasion. For the first time in ihe history of tho club there will be a two days’ meetiDg, and to assure the buooebs of the gathering great trouble and expense has been gone to by the publio of Tolago Bay. Not only have there been substantial additions made to the Tolago Bay hotel, but there bas been a considerable amount of expenditure by the club in now buildings, and from every point of view tho meeting will be viewed with the keenest interest. Messrs Martin and Lucas have the management of the totalisator, and are i makiDg every possible arrangement to cope with the increased business that is likely to be made upon them. . Toe travelling publio can rest assured that in the capable bands of Mr W. F. Sinclair, of the Tolago Bay hotel, that every provision will be made for their comfort and also for the care of their horsas. I A capital programme of musio will be provided eaoh day by the Hauiti brass band, I who have made extensive arrargsmeents for tho bolding of a grand ball on eaoh I raoe night.
