LAUNCH CAPSIZES.
PASSENGERS HAVE LIVELY EXPERIENCE.

I The oil launch Tuariki, timber ladeD, was capsized by a high wind and sank in Peiorus Sound on Tuesday. Tho engineer, Wilkioson, was trapped in the engine room and released by Captain Johnston at the last moment by bursting a port hole and | planking. The two passengers, Misses Venimore and Prioe, and the crew kept afloat on a plank for half an hour until they were rescued by a boat from Paradise Bay dairy faotory, where tbo accident was witneessd. The boat sank in 15 fathoms, and will probably be refloated. The laonoh was valued at JESOO, and was tho property of J. Wilkinson, of Kaiapoi. The vessel was uninsured.
