QISBOBNE SHEEPFARMERS’ ACQUIRE LIGHTEKING PLANT.

Ad important local purchase was completed yesterday, when the Gisborne Sheep farmers’ Association secured the whole of the lightering plant and general carrying business, so long and successfully carried on by Messrs Kennedy and Evans. The Association are to be congratulated on the enterprise displayed, and we are sure that the shareholders will be well repaid for their investment. In addition to Messrs Kennedy and Evans’ extensive plant, the Gisborne Shcepfarmers’ Association have their own lightering and Coastal fleet, and the whole Bbould be sufficient to oope with the requirements of the port for some time to oomei
