Antonins led past the abattoirs into the straight, where Lady Wallace spurted, getting home by a brad, Antonius six lengths away third. It was a splendid race. Time, 1.44£. Autumn Handicap. North Head" led Blue Spec and Circuit for a short distance, when Soet Free headed them on the outside, and led past the stand, 20 lengths from Tartan, Blue Spec, Circuit, and North Head. In the straight Scot Free led Tartan .some distance, and then the latter won easily by a length and a quarter, Blue Speo three lengths behind third. Time, 3.40 J. River Handicap Position 1, Newmarket 2, Quibble 3. Five others rao. Betting : 12 to 1 the winner. Won by two lengths.
