The ciickefi match Melbourne Cricket Club and Southland was concluded to-day in wretched weather, misty rain driving aoross the field of play. Resuming, Armstrong addel 2 to the overnight score of 333, and wai caught by O’Halloran. Wilkinson was run cut for 32, Laver was bowled for 12. Butler carried out bis bat Lr 1. The total web 536. Southland’s second innings produced 78; Poole made 22, McNecke 19, D. Hamilton 14, J. Hamil on 13. Armstrong and Butler howled, and each took five wickets for 49 and 25 runs respectively,
