In the Houbo of Commons Mr Lever’s resolution in favor of payment of membora was adopted by 848 to 110. Mr Kombor’s amendment, affirming the undesirability of voting money for their own members, was negatived by 868 to 110. I ’Sir H J Oampbell-BannormanJ cordially agroad with tho principle of payment, but eaid there was no money at present to give effect to this desirable improvement.
