(Pet Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. A warrant was issued two years ego - against Alfred W. PearsoD, who was 1 wanted to give evidence in connection with W. Tannook’s bankruptcy. It wa3 then stated Pearson had £l5O belonging to the | estate. Accused was arrested at Napier a f few days ago, and remanded to Dunedin, 1 He waß examined before the Registrar this morning. He denied having £l5O. He was subsequently charged at the Police Court with having received £4O on terms requiring him to'aooount for it to William Tannock, and having failed to do bo, The case was remanded till Friday, bail being allowed. Napier, last night, Mr G. T. Fannin, who has been secretary to the Hawke’s Bay Education Board for the past 30 years, has resigned that position. Christchurch, last night. The annual conference of the New Zealand Medical Association opened to-day, Delegates were present from all centres in the colony. The address of the President (Dr. 0. M. Anderson) congratulated the Government on amending the Medical Registration Aot, and referred to various 1 current medical topics, Palmerston North; last night. A burglar entered tbe offioe of B. D. Bagnall, solicitor, The Square, on Sunday, and removed £4O worth qf plate and £9 in money. * Auckland, last night, Mr Ritohie, headmaster end deputy superintendent of Henshaw’s Ayslum for the Blind at Manchester, has been recommend by the High Commissioner, and ap proved by the trustees, for the position of . principal of the Jubilee Institute for the' Blind, Auckland, in lieu of J. W. Fighe, whose connection with the Institute ceased some months ago.
