The steamer Maripaba, which has arrived at San Francisco, reports that a terrifle hurricane on the night of February 7th devastated Tahiti and Tuamatu Islands. Ten thousand are reported to have boen drownod, and five million dollars worth of damago done. The British aad American Consulates at Papieti wore wrocked. Five hundred British subjects need relief. Several islands disappeared.
