A nico I mob of four hundred odd fat lambs, tho proporty of Mr Fraser, went oJf on I Saturday morning bound for tho Gis~ I borno freezing works. A mob of owos started from bore yesterday morning , on their way to Mr Angus Fraser’s proporty in tlio Motu. Tho later be* ing in charge of Mossrs Wilson and Gray. All tho roads in tho district are in good order, and it is to be hoped they may continue so'for some time to come. Feed is still very plentiful and stock of overy description are in good condition, although they would have done better if tho woathor had been drior.
Mr Cole is having considerable alterations and improvements made to his dwelling. The old one is being shifted to a site a few chains away, whero the additions will be effected. The work is in tho hands of Mr W. 0. Skeot, which is a sufficient guarantee for tho workmanship. The house, whon finished, will be one of tho nicest in tho locality, being pleasantly situated on tho Tangamatai creek in the contre of tho valloy, and facing tho main road, with a pleasing view of Mr Barker’s country and spacious residence on the opposite side.
