HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERVICES.
The services of thanksgiving for
tho abundant harvest to be held in the above church to morrow (Sunday) are advertised in this issue.
We cordially commend the action of the Trinity Church authorities in bringing before the parishioners and .townspeople generally a conception of their dependence on the Almighty for sustenance. yitally dependent are we all upon .the so if for our living. It may therefore be taken’ for granted that there will l?e a united effort to make to-mor-row’s services a complete success. Offerings of fruit and produce of all iinds, also gr.oen corn, yegetables, lowers, etc., for decorating the church ire invited. Offerings will be returned >r disposed of after the soryiees, and jroceeds will be added to the thanksgiving offertory taken during the day. At the morning service to morrow he preacher will bo tho Right Rev. I lr Stuart, Lord Bishop of Persia. Dr Stuart was formerly Bishop of Waiapu, and for a short time was locum tenens I of Gisborne. All friends and parishioners will doubtless assemble to hear him. At the afternoon children’s harvest thanksgiving service Mr H. Nelson Wright will give an address.
