Everyling went oS splendidly, and the fate loold rank as one of the most saooesffal [ the many that have been held, The cmmiitee, and especially the secretary, ( Ir Gray, all worked hard for the success r*»he gathering, and their efforts beiDg ided by such beautiful weather highly nisfaotory results were achieved. Great • iterest was taken in tho horße events, hich was under tho supervision of Messrs . Sherratt aud G. Wiitsrs. Major Winter jted as judge. A very enjoy ble part of the fete was the tea tables, taioh were presided over as follows! Gray; Vuataupoko, Mrs Barker ; Patntahi, Mrs Williamson; Makauri, Mrs Tucker. jn charge of ilesdames R. Bheriat' ! , Carta,.*- ' Steele, Gray, Williamson, and MisSesSherratt and Neal; afternoon tea, Mte veils ; lolly stall, Missos Johpso", Hing.ion, and Sherratt; produce stall, Misses 11. Brown and Gray { sale of work, Meslamea Gray, Smith, and Misses Bradley. Che side shows were in charge of the blowingCamara obscurer, Mr A. O. Steele ; rifle shooting, Messrs Weekes and r , Jennings; swiog, Mr Love; height and veight, Mr PoyDter; fishpond, Miss 0. Reynolds and Mrs J. Murphy; Aunt 3ally, Mr J. Turnbull. The gates were lontrolled by Messrs Kempthorne and 0. Jardner. Mr T. Smith was oaretaker, s. Mr W. Barber and Mrs Higgs provided the hot water.
