MR GEO. STEVENSON’S ENG LISH COMEDY COMPAY.

The first production, in Gisborne of the musical extravaganza, “ Bill Adams,” will take placo at His Majesty’s Theatre to-night, when Mr George Stephenson’s Musical Comedy Company will make their re-ap-pearance, headed by Miss May Beatty and Mr E. Lauri. The piece is promised to be exceptionally well mounted the period —that of the Napoleonic wars lendiug itself to the splendor of military uniforms, whilst: there is plenty of opportunity for scouic effects. The cast will bo an exceptionally strong one, including as it does some excellent all-round com* edians and dancers. |dr Lauri will be seen in a character which is said to fit him excellently. Miss May Beatty as Margot has several charming numbers to sing, and the part is one in which she appears to great advantage. Those who have not already booked their seats should do so at once to avoid disappointment as none of the pieces will be repeated, The attraction for to.morrow night will be the second edition of the bright and tuneful musical comedy “ The Skirt Dancer.” On Friday Mr Stephenson’s clever combination will say farewell to local playgoers when they will stage what is considered by most critics as the best of all musica cotuedios “ The Bosq gf the Kiviera,’
