MOROCCAN CONFERENCE.
GERMANY SEEKING HARD BARGAIN.
By telegraph. Press Ass’n, Copyright London, Feb. 16 Germany is angling for compensation in return for concessions to France relative to the policing of Morocco. Probably the surrender of Mogador will suffice. Madrid, Feb. 16. Count Moret, Spanish Premier, interviewed, said an immediate rupture at the Algeciras conference was unlikely, though he cannot foresee any adjustment of the difficulties, as France has reached the limit of her concessions. Germany’s demands are constantly increasing. The solution will rest with moral influence. BerliD, Feb. 16.
General Zurlinden is convinced it would be madness for Germany to attack, France, who is one hundredfold better prepared than in 1870.
