TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTES RECORDED.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. A return showing the number of votes recorded in eaoh licensing district at the last local option poll is recorded in the Gazette, including the no-licenso districts of Ashburton, Clutha and Mataura. The Voting was as follows, the number of electors on the roils being 465,473 : For oontinuanoe ... 182,884 For reduction ... 151,007 « For no-l'ocnse ... 198,768 The,total number of valid votes recorded waa 387,981.
