(Per Press Association.) Napier, last night. The potato crop on the Heretaunga Plains and about Meaneo and Taradale» is praotically ruined by tho blight, and this ' despite the fact that growers have in some instances sprayed tho plants two and, three times. It is thought the unusual amount of wet weather experienced this summer may be partly responsible for the : lnemoßoy of the spraying, but whatever CQB cauas the outlook is very serious.
