MINE ON FIRE.
By telegraph’, Presa Ass’n, CoSyrighi i Sydney, Feb. 15. \ A fire has broken out in the Junction ; Mine, Broken Hill. 1 A shot was fired at the 550 ft level, apff j it is supposed a spark set fire to the splid- I tered timbers in a part of tbe mine where a creep ocourred pine years ago. I I Pungent smoke oompelled evacuation of the mine, aod penetrated the workings, The British mine has stopped work. Strenuous efforts are being made to oope with the fire.
