! Oa Wednesday afternoon last Mr Adolph Zaobariah, of Gisborne, fourth son of the late Babbi of Christchurch, was married at the Wellington Synagogue, by the Eev. H Van StavereD, to Miss Gertrude Citron, of Melbourne, sister of Mrs H. Levy, of Wellington, Owing to the recent bereavement in the bridegroom’s f .mily, the weddiDg was a very quiet one. Mr H. At Hastings on Friday Charles Albert P. ejswood wes charged with neglecting to obey an order of the Court to contribute to the support of bis iltegitima'e obild, there beiDg £3 15s due on January 19tb. Mr Lee, who appeared for the mother of the child, said £3 had been paid the previous day, and applied for an order for imprisonment against defendant for the balance. Defendant was convicted and ordered to be imprisoned for one month,' with hard labor, in Gisborne gaol, order to be suspended for five weeks to give him an opportunity of paying the amount due. The defendant was also ordered to pay the oomplainaut’s costs of £1 la.
