Waipawa, Saturday.

The 11 Wild Oat ” train was derailed on Friday night at the Waipawa crossing. The engine and sheep trucks were huddled up together in an adjoining paddock. There were no pasßengerß on the train. The fireman escaped uninjured. The accident is surmised to have been caused by the heavy rain waßbiDg out the shingle on the line. A gaDg was employed olearing the track this morning, and the early train was unable to get through.
