SUCCESSFUL WOOL SALES.

(Per Press Association.) Invercargill, last night

The third wool sales of the season were held to night. The usual buyers were present, and bidding was keen throughout. Close on 4000 bales were offered. ~ Prieee were tbe best given this year, beiDg from one to three farthings above last sales at which there was a halfpenny advance on the first sale of the season. The advance was most marked in fine wools, but all classes participated in tho advance to a greater or lesser bentfil. Medium was not so good as at tbe previous sale, and taking that into eceount, prices, were about half a penny higher all round. Super half-bred 12£d (top prioe) to lljd first crossbred 121, strong to lid, merino lid.
