Horr Posadowski, Minister of the Interior, in the Reichstag created great excitement by violently attacking tbo Social democrats. Ho declared that Bismarck fell into a great error in applying universal suffrage to the German nation. Social democracy was in absolute contradiction to the federation principles of the Empire. Before more workingmen represented the Prussian Diet they must beoome infinitely more mature politically, recognise the State and society, and reduce their claims to what was economically possible.
