GISBORNE RACING CLUB’S SUMMER MEETING.

The Summer Meeting of the Gisborne Racing Club, commencing to-morrow and concluding on the following day, promisee to be one of the most successful gatherings in the history of local racing. The Park grounds are just now at their best, the growth being so luxuriant that the grass has had to be cut twice within the fortnight. The course is in splendid order, and the appointments ore all that could be desired. There are largo acceptances for the various event?, and some exciting racing should ensue. The townspeople generally will have a gcod opportunity of attending to-morrow, as the shops o'ose at noon, and the trains are conveniently timed, The Gisborno Raoing Club is usually very fortunate in regard to the weather, and though the wo=k was commenced in such a wintry fashion the de--1 ghiful change should carry through the racing season. The improvements to the totalisator, and in other ways, will beoompleted in time for the meeting. The following is the time table notioo for thoitwo days:—
