LATE NEW ZEALAND.
(Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. At the ram fair to-day there was a poor demand for Lincolns, whioh on the whole were not first class. Keen bidding took place for a good line of SouthdowDS, which realised op to 10£ guineas. Some good linos of flock Border Leicesters excited keen competition at moderate figures. Sit Joseph Ward will be banquetted here on the occasion of the opening of the new post office on Monday. Ashburton, last night.
The North Canterbury school cadets, numbering 570 officers and boys, under Colonel Loveday, went into camp at the Domain to-day for a week. This is the first camp held by this battalion.
