MOROC AN CONFERENCE.

By telegraph, Frcsa A’w'n, Copyright Madrid, Feb. 1. There aie semi-official hints that Germany will compromise regarding supervision of police in Morooco and reorganisation of the administration of the Sultanate. These are the principal outstanding , | questions, and there are indications that final settlement is expected thereon at Algeciras. A number of matters of detail will be left to the representatives of the Powers at Tangier. France opposes all proposals denying her a general polioe control of Morocco. Germany desires all Powers to be placed on an equality regarding the Moroccan State Bank. Franoe contends that it is absurd that Powers without financial interests should be placed on an equality with herself. The conference adopted a scheme regulating taxation, considerably modifying one submitted by the Moroccan delegates.
