Tho latter pa'r put up 2 on the next hoad, their opponents answering with 6 on tho five following hoads. Tho score on tho 16th hoad stood : Jeune and Martin 19, Sawyer and Bennett 5. There was a large attendance at the Gisboi ne Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon, and the glorious weather prevailing added considerably to the pleasure of this favorite pastimp. Keen interest was taken in the matoh between the Gis borne representatives, who took part in th 6 reoent tournament of the Northern Bowling Association at Wellington, and a team selected from the rest of the club. The rink opposed to that skipped by Ponsford made a very good stand, having a lead of 10 points in the early part of the game, but after ocoe getting hold of the green the Representatives steadily gained on their opponents and finished four points to the good. Gandin’s rink made a runaway game of it against the quartette skipped by Simson. On th 9 seventh head they were 15 to 1, and on the 14th 26 to 10, finishing on the 31st head with the exceptionally large soore of 46 to 28. All members of the team played up to their form, and appeared to have profited considerably by their visit to Wellington. On the aggregate the Representatives won by 74 to 52.
