NO FOREIGN POWER ON AMERICAN CONTINENT. By telegraph, Freso 'Ass’n, Copyright Received 1.4 a.m., Jan. 26. Washington, Jan. 25. Senator Lodge, in the Senate, diecussing Monroeism, said the United States ought not to allow a foreign power even temporary occupation on the American continent. They could not permit foreign powers to occupy ports of the • Carribean Sea which guarded the approaches to the Panama Canal. If San Domiogo were left in its present bad condition the United States might be compelled to take it over to prevent others.
