AUCKLAND LADY INJURED AT DUNEDIN. (Por Preso Association.) Dunedin, last night. An unfortunate accident occurred this afternoon in Prineo3 street to a daughter of Professor Brown, of Auckland. The jouDg lady was about to board a Iramoar, when sbo was struck by a runaway

express, and knocked down. The wheels of the vehicle passed over her, and her drees breaming entangled she was dragged a few yards. Tho sufferer was conveyed to a private hospital, and tho exact nature of her injuries is not yet ascertained. It is thought that in addition to savere bruises two or three ribs are broken. An inquiry at the hospital to night elicited the reply that Miss Brown was improving, but her coDd tion is serious.
