A LIGHTNING FLASH.
STARTLING EFFECTS.
.(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last n'gbt, _ In connection with the flash of lightning at Arch Hill last night, it is now stated that a woman and two girls in the house were thrown on the floor by the shock, and in another house near a man was pitched oil a chair on which he was sitting. In a third house a woman had a knife in her hand. The lightning ran up the knife and blackened her face. No serious in j uries resulted.
