WRECKAGE FOUND.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. A Tairua telegram statoß that a quantity of wreckage, consisting of a covering part of a deck-house, and a quant : ty of varnished lining, has been found near Te Earo. It has evidently been recently washed ashore. There is no clue as to its identity. Auckland, last night. Regarding the wreckage washed ashore near Tairua, Mr D. Qouk states that it is probably from the steamer Stella.' Last week whilst on the coast one of Gouk’s sens carried out alterations to the Stella, and the old timber was thrown overboard near Hipper Island, and as the current sets in towards the boat harbor the sat' mise ie that it belonged to the Stella.
