(Per Pross Association.) Dunedin, last night. The criminal statistics for Dunedin district for 1905 show that 1797 offenooß were reported, being an increase of 64 over the previous yea*. The most marked feature in tbe return is the decrease of 144 cases of drunkenness, as compared with the previous year. The la-gesi increase was in thefts undeseribed, which were 59 more than in the preceding year. Slygrog cases increased by 15. - The bankruptcy statistics for Otego show that 65 petitions wore received from debtors and- creditors, as compared with 59 for 1904. Twenty-two orders of discharge were made. The liabilities totalled £32,749, and assets £18,291. The amounts secured to creditors was £20,218.
