Forty six settlers and res'dents signed the petition, urging the necessity for granting an accommodation license. — Thirty-five acres recommended for accommodation bouse reserve and balanoe to be reserved.

The District Surveyor wrote stating Mr Thomson wished to lease the stock reserve at Hangaroa.—Government to be urged to put up the reserve as soon as possible for a t rtn of 14 years, at £5 a year.
