HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

STRAND COMEDY COMPANY. Tho groat farcical success, ‘ The J.P.” was played again laßt night to a very large audience. The spirit of fun was maintained throughout, the building resounding with the merry peals of laughter as taoh new point in the comedy was presented. Mr Dallas and Mias Florence Lloyd woro of course the chief impersonators, though backed up by an ab!o company. Warm encores were given for “ Back, back to Baltimore,” sung by Miss Lloyd aa Captain Rattler, and for the singing of “Teasing” by Miss Maud Chetwynd, while the danoo in which tho two look part was heartily applauded and oneored. Mr Qregaa McMahon was oven better than on the firct night os tho jooljus-atiicken tragedian, and his acting was warmly applauded. Mr Aubrey Malla’ien was as usual a great favorite a 3 Charlie Vivian. Miss Fiorenos Redforn gave au excellent interpretation of the part of Susette, the French maid. Mr Johueton Weir made a strong part of

tho bombastic Major, and Mr Tom (Jannon helped in tho general merriment by tho way he took the part of waiter. Miss Madge Herrick, E'sie Austin end Norah Delaney took their parts admirably,as Mrs Loveboy, Amy Loveboy and Rose Bam ford. It was a splujdid merry making piece in which al! acted with much skill.

TO-NIGHT “THERE AND BACK.” To-night the Strand Theatre Comedy Company will make their final appearanoe in Gisberne, when they will produce anew comedy, entitled “ Thoro and Back.” The play -has earned a reputation in London, and is said to be quite as amusing and no lees attractive than “ The J.P.” Musical numbers will be introduced by the principals, Miss Florence Lloyd and Mr J. J. Dallas, and Mr Dallas will bo seen in the character which he took in the English production of the play.
