TURANGANUI BOWLING CLUB, t—y-j—l JUNIOR SINGLES. At the Turanganui Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon some useful play was indulged in by the members, The remaining heat in the semi finals of the Junior Singles was played off, a good game being witnessed. The result of the gam: was—- ■ Martin 28 v. Bennett 18 Martin jumped off with a lead of 2 on the Ist head, and on the 2nd bead was 3 to nil. Bennett put up 2on the 3rd bead, Martin replying with a 3 on the 4ih head, The players then scored alternately, and on the 7lh bead the scores stood: Martin 8, Bennett 4. The latter put up 3on the next two head?, being 7 to Martjn’s 8 on the 9th head. On the following three heads Martin soored 7, and Bennelt securing a 2 and a 4, tbe 14th bead stood: Martin 15, Bennett 13. Some gcol drawing on the part of Martin brought his score to 23 on the 17th head. Bennett put up 5 on tbe last 4 heads, and the game ended as above. The final now remains to be played, in which Maitin and Nasmith, jar., meet. A good gamo should enßue.
