Bugler Dunn, the young hero who was wcuoded in the firing lino at the battle of Colenso during the Boer war, is engaged as a steward on the White Star liner Persic, whioh arrived recontly at Adelaide. He joined the vessel at Liverpool, and is a great favorite with the officers and crew. Young Dunn was presented with a silver bugle by the late Queen Viotoria for his bravery. The Wellington Lance tells this story:— At a hip-hip-hooray social there was a lady dancer in'a very abbreviated frock. She dancod a hornpipe nicely. Suddenly a burst of applause from Me Culver, followed by a West Coast demonstration,was heard, and we looked jtowards the lady to know the reason of this fusilade of clapping.
