up for further oonsiloratiou when the ! Synod moet) in 1937. Mr Williams ia very well known in Auokland. Ho was born at tho Bay of IsWncb, and was eduoated nt Christchurch. New Zoaland, I and Catnbridgo University, where ho took h's M.A. degree. Ho was ouvata of St. Barlho'omow’s, Southfield, for about two years, and on returning to New Zealand was curate of St Sepulchre's, Auckland, under tho late Archdeacon .Dudley- Ho subsequently joined tho Melanesian Mission, but his work on the Islands was interrupted by an attaok of fever, and ho cime back to Now Zsaland for a t : ma.
On his recovery ho resumed work in Melanesia. Abont three months ago ho re turned to tbo oolony. Mr Willioms, as curate of St. Sepulchre’s mado many friends, and showed very plainly that ho thoroughly understood young meD, and | was understood by thorn. He takes a keen interest in athletics, and was at ono tirno a prominent momber of the Grafton football club.
