SHOCKING FATALITY
(Per Press Association.) Timaru, last night. An accident of a distressing nature happened at 2.30 a.m. to-day, when Miss J. Robertson,' dressmaker, of Temuka, fell off the midnight train from Dunedin to Christchurch, and was kil’ef. Deceased boarded the train at Oamaru, when it was noticed by other passengers in the same carriage that Bhe looked very ill. Near S'udholme she took off her hat and cloak and went outside on the carriage platform. There it is thought she was taken ill. The passengers felt the carriage jolt, and finding that she was missing informed the guard, whin it was ascertained ghe had fallen between the carriages, and been cut to pieces. When the remains were picked up the body of a fully matured male ohild was found with them.
Oamaru, last night. The woman wl?o fell off the train near the Wi law bridge last night was Janet Robeitson, a dreßEinaker, egod 35, daughter of an oil resident of Oamaru. She was employed in Temuka, and was returning there after a few days’ holiday here. An inquest will b t e held at Studholme Junction,
