TURANGANUI BOWLING CLUB.
The above club’s green has boon exceed-
ingly well patronised this week, and a number of close aad interesting games have been played. Tho green is in firstclass condition, and reflects credit on the caretaker, Mr Humphrey?. Afternoon tea was provided on Tuesday by the ladies, and was much appreciated. SMITH AND SMITH’S TBOPRY. Tho competition for the pair of bowls presented by Messrs Smith and Smith, of Wellington, which is ioatrlctcd ta first year’s player?, was commenced on Tuesday. The game played was
Hepburn 21 v. McSkimming 20 Tho game was a close ono throughout' McSkimming led on the first few heads' but Hepburn gradually gained points and passed him. On tho last head McSkimming wanted two to tie, but only secured one.
