Fletoher, a grooor in Bourke street discovered a burglar on his premises and taokled him. A sovere struggle ensued. The intruder, with a revolver, shot Fletcher in the broast, injuring him seriously and escaped with the contents of the till.
Burglars entered CurrieV, an ironI monger, of No.th Melbourne, adj-.iaiog the National Bank. They pierced a fourfoot hole against tho bank’s s rong room, but failed to enter the strong room owing to the wall being faced with concrete. They oonsoled themselves with rifliog Currie’s stock.
